Case Discussion

This 2-week follow-up radiograph shows good maintenance of alignment, and the beginning calcification of a subperiosteal hematoma distal to the fracture. The animal had been bearing full weight on the right hind limb since the day following surgery. The fixation could be criticized for the excessive length of some of the screws. This was due to a limited supply of certain lengths, and our rather remote location.
