The patient is a 55 year old male who was intoxicated when he was trying to clean his gutters. He fell off the ladder and presented complaining of severe left leg pain. His past medical history was negative except for mild hypertension. His left lower extremity was neurovascular intact. There was pain and swelling the left distal femoral region.
Radiographs were obtained. (Figure 1 and Figure 2) The limb was splinted and the patient was admitted.
