Jamming can occur if the short conical bolt contained in the original
AO/ASIF Nailing Instrument Set is used, because the Insertion Handle
cannot be used over the original conical bolts. Removal of the
old-style bolts can be very difficult.
If this situation occurs, withdraw the nail approximately 5 cm. Hold
the proximal nail end with the Locking Pliers and the bolt with the
Combination Wrench. Use the Locking Pliers as a torque resistor while
loosening the bolt. This method should be used in emergencies only.
