Inserting the Reaming Rod
Click on image for enlarged view
Under image intensification, insert the 3.0 mm Reaming Rod into the
canal, across the fracture site, and into the distal metaphysis. The
Universal Chuck with T-Handle may be used to facilitate insertion. The
Holding Forceps is used to control the reaming rod.
Note: The tip of the 950 mm long 3.0 mm Reaming Rod is bent 15°
to facilitate passage through misaligned fragments; the ball (2 cm
from the end) prevents damage to or jamming of the reamer head.
