The End Cap for the Titanium Distal Femoral Nail [450.896] locks the most distal 6.0 mm Titanium Locking Screw in place, thereby creating a fixed angle construct.

Remove the insertion instrumentation. Using the Hexagonal Screwdriver, align the end cap with the nail axis to prevent cross-threading. Thread the end cap into the nail until it engages the locking screw.

Technique Tip:
To minimize the chance of cross-threading, turn the end cap counterclockwise until the threads of the end cap align with the threads of the nail. Insert the end cap by turning clockwise until it is fully seated.
