Indications
The Titanium Distal Femoral Nail is indicated for the
stabilization of fractures of the distal femur and/or
diaphyseal fractures in which a retrograde approach is
indicated. These include:
supracondylar fractures, including those with
intra-articular extension
ipsilateral hip/shaft fractures
ipsilateral femur/tibia fractures
femoral fractures in the multiply-injured patient
fractures proximal to a total knee arthroplasty
fractures distal to a hip implant
fractures in the morbidly obese patient
pathologic fractures including osteoporosis
malunions
nonunions
The Titanium Distal Femoral Nail may be used
in either reamed or nonreamed applications.
