AO North America Suport for Orthopaedic Trauma Association Research
| When AO North America was founded, the original Executive Committee agreed that trauma research support should be a main cornerstone of our organization. At that time, AONA directly evaluated and awarded grants for research projects in orthopaedic trauma. In recent years, AO North America has instead provided a substantial annual grant to the Orthopaedic Trauma Association to be used for such research project support. At the October 2001 OTAMeeting in San Diego, AO North America President Eric Johnson was recognized for our contribution to the Orthopaedic Trauma Association’s research fund by Professor Marc Swiontkowski, Chairman of the OTA Research Committee. Our intention is to continue this support of OTA research in the years to come. |
