The terms of several North American Trustees were completed during 1999, and at its annual meeting in Cancun, the AO Foundation elected the following new North American Trustees: Jorge Alonso, M.D. (Birmingham), Terry Axelrod, M.D. (Toronto), Brian Alpert, D.D.S. (Louisville), Richard Lange, M.D. (Madison, Wisconsin), and John Wilber, M.D. (Cleveland). Trustee Eric Johnson was re-elected to a second five-year term. In addition, David Nunamaker, V.M.D. (Kennett Square, Pennsylvania), as the current President of the AO Vet Association, is, therefore, also a member of the AO North America Steering Committee.
