AO North America members are invited to submit applications for research projects to the Research Commission of the AO ASIF Foundation. This Commission supports projects dealing with trauma, surgery of the locomotor system, and related basic and clinical research, and has an annual budget of two million Swiss francs. Proposals are evaluated by an independent, interdisciplinary group of clinicians and basic scientists from several countries, with the average annual grant per project being approximately $45,000.
